When are practices?

Practices will be August 24th - October 30th.Monday 7:30 - 9:00 PM.Friday 3:00 - 4:30 PM

What happens during the weekly training sessions?

From August to November practices will consist of the basketball fundamentals like dribbling, shooting, defense, and game awareness. Once teams are made after tryouts in November, we will collaborate with our coaches and determine the best practice times moving forward.

What is club season and how long does it go?

The basketball club season will start on Monday, August 24th and will run through the end of February. There will be a winter league after tryouts where our SC Hoops teams will get to play other teams around the St George area.

Who will coach the individual teams?

Can I sign up after the season has already started?

Yes. While we encourage you to sign up before August 24th in order to get the most time out of our program you can sign up at any time.

My athlete plays another sport in the fall can they still participate?

Yes! While we would love for them to come to all the trainings, we support our multi-sport athletes and understand if they can only make it to some of the practices. This year we tried to work our practice times around major Fall sports.

What if my kid doesn't make a team for the winter league?

Accepted Answer

Depending on skill level and the availability of coaches some kids may not be able to participate in the winter league. We will try to include everyone but there is a possibility that might happen.
