When are practices?

Practices will be held every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. 
3rd - 8th grades will be at 4:30 -5:45.
9th - 12th grades will be 3:00 - 5:00.

What happens during the weekly training sessions?

From August to November practices will consist of the basketball fundamentals like dribbling, shooting, defense, and game awareness. Once teams are made after tryouts in November the Monday and Tuesday sessions will continue training the fundamentals with the Thursday practices reserved for getting together with their teams and coaches.

What is club season and how long does it go?

The basketball club season will start on Monday, August 18th and will run through the end of February. There will be a winter league after tryouts where our SC Hoops teams will get to play other teams around the St George area.

Who will coach the individual teams?

The teams will be coached by parent volunteers. If you are interested in getting involved, please reach out!

Can I sign up after the season has already started?

Yes. While we encourage you to sign up on or before August 18th in order to get the most time out of our program you can sign up at any time.

How much does it cost?

The monthly club dues are $75, and this helps pay for the facilities, coaching and administrative costs. There is an additional 'team fee' that must be paid in order to play in the winter league that usually comes out to around $125. We also require a jersey that can be purchased through The Locker Room.

Question 9

My athlete plays another sport in the fall can they still participate?

Yes! While we would love for them to come to all the trainings, we support our multi-sport athletes and understand if they can only make it to one practice a week. Please contact us and we can provide a discount code for the first two months of the season (September & October) reducing the cost per month during the preseason.

Who is running SC Hoops?

Kenny Kunde in association with the other basketball coaches at Snow Canyon High School will be running the club.

Question 11

What if my kid doesn't make a team for the winter league?

Accepted Answer

Depending on skill level and the availability of coaches some kids may not be able to participate in the winter league. We will try to include everyone but there is a possibility that might happen.

I want to cancel my subscription do I have to pay for all six months?

Accepted Answer

No, you can cancel at any time. If something comes up or you would like to cancel, please email us. There are no cancelation fees.
